Link for U.S. Earthquakes, 1974-2003 data
Instructions: 1. Choose a state you would like to live in. Draw a star in that state. 2. Choose 4 colors to use for your key; color them in on the key. 3. Using the list of U.S. Earthquakes from the link above, color in each state with the appropriate color from your key in order to represent how many earthquakes of magnitude 3.5 or greater have occurred in that state from 1974 - 2003. 4. Use your map to answer the questions on the back of the worksheet. |
